This time last year I was wrestling with my first ever moustache. It looked something like this after a couple of weeks.
This year I am once again growing my mo for Movember. Im going more for the Michael Fassbender in Inglorious Basterds look :
A thinner more gentlemanly effort that oozes 1930s Britain and the refined classy look that I didnt achieve with my 1980s American Trucker look that I achieved last year before trimming it to be more like Ned Flanders.
So far its day 5 and nobody at work has mentioned anything. Mainly because there is not much to mention, its still very thin around the upper lip. We'll see how many comments I get next week when it tufts up a little.
I raised a good $600 last year for prostate cancer research. Easily the most money I've raised for charity since i was 9 years old probably, and definately a good cause to give money to if you ask me.
Growing a moustache is not easy. Its itchy, you get food stuck in it, people make odd comments, you have trouble shaving around it and it takes time to blossom. But its something 'to do'. Its different. Its a change of scenery for my look and if it helps raise a bit of cash then all the better.
The best part about growing a moustache however... is shaving it off..
