Indian Summer

So its a lovely day today, bright and sunny without being hot and muggy like we have had
so often this year in Montreal.

To recap events from the last few days, it looks like I will be in New Jersey for a couple of days next week
after getting in on a training session offered by my old company - rather odd but it should work out nicely. I get to learn interesting stuff about how to drive business and improve efficiencies - not just tech support stuff!

Friday night was the opening night of the new footy season, I didn't like the venue much but our team is pretty solid from what I can see. We did however go 4-1 down after 3/4 of the match and rather mazingly
we came back to win 5-4 with a super last minute winner from Sam the Man. I played fairly poorly and didn't look like I was ready for the speed and intensity of the game. Its OK though, its a bit of a departure from the full size pitch and 11 a side where I played all summer and felt very comfortable.

Yesterday was spent at home for the most part. We had some men come in and start work on the brick work which is a problem for the upstairs. I had one of my moments where a builder tries to talk to me in jouale about a specific technical problem with waterproofing and bricks and I just went blank. I couldn't
understand him at all! Later at the hairdressers I remembered I am not THAT bad in French and held 40 minutes of good conversation with Diane my hairdresser; she slows down and articulates for me which is very generous of her. I appreciate that a lot.

Today I opted out of apple picking and inlawing, which I am almost regretting now as its such a nice day, but still I think they'll all have a fine time without me there for once.

Lastly I got my Banksy golf sale back from the framers (http://www.distinctiveframing.ca/) and I think
it looks fantastic.  The previous frame didn't do this picture any justice and I thought it was high time I had a proper job done on it.
