Normally Autumn is my favourite season. The hot humid nights are gone, you can go outside wearing what I like to call 'normal' clothes, that is trousers, shoes, a tshirt and a jumper. No need for a coat most of the time unless its going to rain and maybe even a ball cap to keep your bonce warm. So far its been a fairly dreary Autumn here in Canada though. Grey grey skies and plenty of rain with fluctuating temperatures to boot.
Its been rather depressing truth be told, I think a few clear crisp days is whats called for and maybe a hike up a local mountain with plenty of leaf fall would do the trick.
Quoi de neuf? Im back from Tirranna (Toronto) and its a long old way by car. And a boring journey too, whereas a drive down to New York or New Jersey is punctuated by the glorious beauty of the Adirondacks the drive to Toronto has nothing. Really just nothing, the road hardly even bends, its just straight and long long long. My trip there was utterly uneventful, everything went as expected, the hotel was fine and it rained hard and heavy most of the time I was there meaning I didnt do any sightseeing.
The month of October is building up to be a big one, work is going to be tricky with a big project to manage that I totally need to get on top of as soon as possible along with a couple of smaller projects thrown in for good measure. Added to that Im Charles in charge from Saturday to Saturday coming up so I better have my wits about me to make sure it all goes smoothly.
Heres what I am watching on TV lately :
Boardwalk Empire
Modern Family
Dexter
This is England
Six Feet Under Season 1
There are literally not enough hours in the day to keep up with all this AND the NHL season is starting soon.
I have also started my ambitious project to watch every Movie that matters : first film review was of 'A bout de souffle' http://www.flixster.com/user/johnehsmith/ratings
