Cricketing Stats

I am currently glued to a combination of statsguru and the guardian OBO following the second
day of the 4th test between England and Pakistan.

It is proving to be a most memorable day in test match cricket, the scorecard which reads thus
will show you why

England were languishing at 102-7 and 45-5 before that moved on to 340-7 and counting.
This is rapidly becoming the highest 8th wicket partnership ever, Broad and Trott both
hitting centuries and England gaining total control of a test in which they were almost dead
and buried by lunch. Who'd have thunk it.

I love following the cricket like this and using statsguru to run my own queries to produce
interesting records which I used to have to wait to appear on BBC screens/radio waves
courtesy of Bill Frindall the legendary Bearded Wonder from TMS.

Now I too can be my own bearded wonder.

Love it.
